Once your carrier initiates the port out request with the correct information from Sideline (Account Number & PIN), the porting process will typically take between 1-5 business days to complete.
Since Sideline is viewed as a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) service, the porting process will not simply take minutes as a traditional wireless to wireless port. Please be aware that once your number is unlocked from our service, we are no longer involved in the port out process, and we will never place a hold or prevent the port out of your phone number.
Your number will still be active in Sideline to use until the port out is complete.
Note: Sideline can neither expedite nor delay a port and updates will be delivered by your gaining carrier. Any errors that arise will need to be dealt with through the gaining service provider. Your Sideline service will continue until the port is complete.
