While Sideline calls go through your carrier's network to provide the best call quality, it is crucial to have a strong data signal in order for the Sideline call to connect to our network, and allow the call to reach your contact.
Once the call successfully connects, it switches over to your carrier's network and uses your minutes. Therefore, it's important to understand what exactly your service plan includes, otherwise, standard fees may apply.
If you attempt to place a call or send a message with your data turned off, you will receive an error message to check your network connection.
The only exception to this rule is if you have subscribed to unlock VoIP calling, which will allow you to place calls through a strong WiFi connection.
Depending on your cellular plan, you may be charged by your service provider if you use your using VoIP calling with your data enabled.
