Yes, you have the option to port out your Sideline number to another carrier as Sideline has no restrictions for who we will release our numbers to when porting out.
With that being said, the carrier you are porting to may not accept your number. We advise you to check with the carrier of your choice before you begin the porting process.
Note: Wireless-only carriers, such as Google Voice & Cricket, have historically not accepted Sideline numbers for porting in due to our numbers being classified as VoIP.
Items to note:
- If you initially ported your number in, you are not required to pay the port-out fee.
- If you did not port your number into Sideline, you will need to unlock the number before you can port out by paying the port out fee.
Note: Your Sideline number will remain active until it is successfully ported to the new carrier. You will be able to receive calls, messages & use Sideline as normal until the port has been completed.
After you have successfully ported your number out, you will then need to cancel your subscription through your App Store to avoid further charges.
