Important note: Due to the current COVID-19 situation, you may experience increased processing times (exceeding the standard 3-5 days) when porting your number into or out of AT&T at this time.
You might be wondering how long porting out your number may take. Please see below for more information on the time estimation and other items to consider as you go through the process.
- Generally, the gaining carrier (where you're porting your number out TO) controls the time it takes to complete the port
- Our role, as the losing carrier (where you're porting your number out FROM - Sideline) is to verify that you've requested the port out process to begin
- Once you've provided the gaining carrier with the Account and PIN numbers, it's all in their hands. From what we've seen, it can be anywhere from 2 hours to 7 days
From what we have seen in the past, the process can take anywhere from 2-5 days to complete (but of course this is dependent on the Carrier).
To receive a more accurate estimate, we would suggest reaching out to the carrier/service you're porting your number to and ask for their approximation.
If you have further questions, please submit a request.
