Sideline numbers were designed to help you keep your business and personal life separate on one device.
When you place a call through Sideline, your receiver will see your Sideline number, not your registered number.
If you are experiencing either of the following, we have a work-around to get this resolved for you.
- All calls are only going through my registered number
- All calls are only going through my Google Voice number
Please ensure you are updated to the latest version of Google Voice to ensure it is working properly with Sideline. The latest update has fixed the issue of always defaulting to Google Voice.
When placing a call, you may see a pop-up asking you which line you would like to use (e.g. always call using Sideline or always call using Google Voice). If you accidentally clicked on an option and would like to remove it, you will need to do this by going into your Android settings.
Settings>>Apps/ App Manager>>Clear Defaults
Google Voice > Settings > Making Calls > Set to your preferred option
