Call Announcement, which was introduced in version 1.11, is a great way to separate your Sideline voicemail from your regular voicemail.
If you have call announcement enabled, you no longer have to worry about your Sideline voicemails going to your personal voicemail when declining a call. This will also extend the number of rings before your call is sent to voicemail.
When you receive a call to your Sideline number, an audio prompt will let you choose to press 1 to accept the call or send the call to your Sideline voicemail by hanging up.
If you're not seeing the Call Announcement feature in your settings:
- First check and make sure you've updated your app so you're on 1.11 or above
- If you're on 1.11 or above, and you still don't see Call Announcement, check and make sure you're not on Wi-Fi Calling
When Call Announcement is enabled, you will hear an automated message to press 1 to answer the call or hang up to send the call to your Sideline voicemail.
