You may have been experiencing inbound texting issues after porting your number into Sideline. If you are not receiving text messages, please read the information below to assist you with troubleshooting messaging issues.
You are not receiving incoming texts that are sent as an iMessage
- Recently ported a number into Sideline
- Incoming SMS was sent as an iMessage
- Turn off iMessage from the device that had previously been associated with the ported-in number
- Deregister (remove) your ported-in phone number from iMessage
- Instructions can be found here
- It could take up to 24 hours for it to deregister.
Troubleshooting Tip: Have someone with iMessage and someone without iMessage (turned off) send a text to you to make sure it is an iMessage issue and not a routing issue (in which we would be able to further assist)
