If you are currently using a device running iOS 12 or below we advise upgrading to a device that supports iOS 13 and above.
Why?
Maintaining support for older iOS versions limits our ability to ensure a reliable, high-performance mobile experience and limits our ability to deliver new functionality.
In addition, the latest iOS versions provide our development team with better capabilities to improve the efficiency, reliability, and performance of Sideline.
Does this impact me?
If you are currently running iOS 12 or below on your iOS device, please continue reading.
To check the current OS your phone is running:
- Device 'Settings'
- 'General'
- 'About'
- 'Software Version' > your current iOS version will be displayed
Next Steps
We recommend (where possible) upgrading to a device running iOS 13 or above, to ensure you continue to receive supported updates for our app.
Important: If you are unable to upgrade your iOS version to iOS 13+, we advise against uninstalling Sideline as the app might not be available for reinstallation in iTunes due to the end of support for iOS 12 and below.
Moving Forward
From here on out, we’ll release versions of Sideline which will only be available for devices running iOS 13 and above.
Devices running previous versions of iOS (12 and below) will not see the update appear as available in the App Store and will no longer be supported with bug fixes or improvements.
However, if you can't upgrade to a device using iOS 13+, you’ll still be able to use your existing Sideline, providing it's installed before this date - it will simply not receive new updates in the future.
If you have further questions or concerns about your iOS version or account, please submit a request.
