Broadcast is a feature available for Sideline Pro users who wish to "broadcast" the same message to multiple contacts at once. Below you'll find steps on how to send and create a Broadcast message using contacts and tags, along with how to manage your existing Broadcast messages.

How to create & send a Broadcast message
Step 1: Create a new Broadcast List
- View your Sideline inbox.
- Tap the compose message icon.
- Tap 'Broadcast' to compose a new Broadcast message.
- Tip: You can also create a new Broadcast via Pro Settings > Broadcast > Create New.
- The first time you go to send a Broadcast, an 'Understanding Broadcast Regulations' pop-up will be presented. You'll need to click 'Continue' if you agree to the terms in order to send Broadcast messages.
- Tap 'Create' to begin drafting up a list of recipients (see below for steps on how to add recipients).
Step 2: Add recipients
Tags and/or contacts can be added to your Broadcast message. You can either search for or scroll through the tags and contacts tab to select which recipients you'd like to add.
- From the recipient's screen, select which tags or contacts you want to add to the Broadcast.
- A green checkmark indicates that the recipient has been added to your list successfully.
- As noted above, you must have the written consent of those recipients to send them marketing messages.
- There is a max of 100 recipients per Broadcast message. A count of the number of recipients is located at the top of the screen to help you keep track.
- Once you've selected your recipients, tap Create.
- From there, rename the list to help keep your Broadcast messages organized. Once complete, tap Save.
Note: A "tag" icon is displayed next to the tag name to differentiate between a contact and a tag (example seen below).
Step 3: Create your message & send your Broadcast
- In your newly created Broadcast, type a message into the text field.
- When you are satisfied with your message, tap the send arrow to send your Broadcast.
Note: After you send a Broadcast, you will see the message in your inbox with a blue 'Broadcast' under the recipients and a microphone icon.
To verify the list of Broadcast recipients:
- Pull up your list of current Broadcasts (Settings, tap Broadcast).
- Select the Broadcast from the list.
- On the "List Details" screen, you will find the current list of recipients.
Note: You can edit this list at any time by tapping Edit. (More info below.)
Please note: Any contact that has responded to the Broadcast will then be shown in your Sideline inbox as a 1:1 conversation (not in the public Broadcast message.)
