There are times when your customer may call you from a new phone number that you have yet to save in your Sideline Contacts (mobile, work, home number etc).
In these instances, you may be wondering what is the best way to save the number while avoiding duplicate contacts.
Please view the information below on how to add a new number to an existing contact:
To save from the Contact Panel:
Unfortunately, you can only create a new contact from the incoming phone number while in the Contact Panel.
It is best to 'X' out of the Contact Panel, then follow the steps below to save multiple phone numbers under one contact name if that's what you prefer.
To save from the conversation screen in your inbox:
- View your Sideline Inbox
- Click on the phone number you wish to save (conversation)
- Click the Address Book icon at the top right
- Click "Add to Existing Contact"
- Search the name in the sear bar or
- Scroll to find the contact name
- Click "Done"
You should now see the Contact name in the conversation and you will see the second number under your Contact in the address book as well.
