If you need to retrieve call and/or message logs from your Sideline account, you can do so in a couple of ways. Please read below for more information.
- From the app
- From Sideline Web
- Unable to find message context or a conversation?
- Where are messages stored on my device?
- Recovering deleted messages
From the Sideline app:
- Log in with your credentials
- Click on the conversation you would like to get content for
- Take screenshots of the conversation you wish to save
- The screenshots will be in your camera roll
From Sideline Web:
- Log in with your credentials
- Click on the conversation you would like to get content for
- Take screenshots (on your computer) of the conversation you wish to save
- The screenshots will be saved on your computer
Tip: You can copy and paste your screenshots into a word document in the correct order (if you have large message content/conversations)
If you are unable to view certain conversations or message content:
There are three reasons why your messages are no longer in your inbox.
- You manually deleted them while logged into your account.
- You've set a block, which will automatically delete any messages from your device.
Where are messages stored on my device?
The messages are downloaded onto the phone once they are received. They are cached on the device within the app.
Pinger does not have the ability to deliver them to the new phone, unfortunately.
Recovering deleted messages, calls, or voicemails:
Important: Deleting messages/conversations/voicemails is a permanent action. They cannot be recovered by you nor Sideline once they have been deleted.
If you have any further questions, please submit a request.
