How do I verify my account?

To create an account or use the Sideline app, we require verification through Two Factor Authentication (2FA) to ensure account security and prevent unauthorized access. This is a standard industry practice. 

New Accounts 

Verifying your account is a required step in the registration process. You must verify your mobile number to create an account.

Unverified accounts

If your account needs to be verified, you'll see your email in red text with "You haven't verified your email" under your account info. Follow the steps below to verify.

1. Log in to Sideline mobile (if not currently logged in).
   • Note: You may be prompted to verify immediately after login. If so, skip to step 5.
2. Tap Settings, then view Account info.
3. Tap the edit button to edit the email OR to proceed with verification if your email is correct.
4. Tap the "Verify" button.
5. View your email inbox and open the message from Sideline. It will contain a verification code.
6. Return back to the app and enter the verification code, then tap Continue.
7. A checkmark next to your email indicates that your email/account is now verified.

Accounts with NO email

If you need to add an email to your account for verification: 

Follow the same steps above, but in step 3, enter a valid email you have access to so you can receive the code and get verified.
