Sideline & Enterprise accounts support the option to place calls over WiFi using the "VoIP Calling" option in Settings, but we are not a VoIP-only service. We use your cellular data to connect calls.
FYI: Team Number accounts do not have the VoIP Calling option in settings.
Important items to note:
- If you connect a call using Wifi/VoIP, but you’re in an area where your connection is weak, calls may use data instead to establish a stronger signal for calling.
- If you use your data to call or text your contacts through Sideline, you may be charged by your service provider depending on your cellular plan.
- You may experience call issues/dropped calls while using VoIP calling if your connection is weak.
