If a Team Sharing Admin needs to remove a team member or a team member needs to leave the team, follow the steps below.
Important: Only Admins are authorized to remove other members from the team. Members can, however, remove themselves from the team (see below).
(Admin) Removing a member from the team
- View Sideline Settings.
- Tap Team Sharing.
- Locate the team member you wish to remove, then:
- iPhone: Tap the ellipsis (three dots) > select "Remove" > then confirm your selection by tapping Remove one more time.
- Android: Tap the ellipsis (three dots) to open the menu > select "remove" to confirm your selection by tapping Remove one more time.
(Team Member) Removing yourself from the Team
Although you, as a member, cannot remove others from the team, you can remove yourself. To do so:
- View Sideline Settings.
- Tap Team Sharing.
- Locate your name from the list, then:
- iPhone: Swipe left, then tap the red "Leave" button.
- Android: Tap the ellipsis (three dots), select "Leave", then confirm your selection by tapping "Leave the Team"
You'll receive a pop-up confirming you've left the team, and you will automatically be logged out of Sideline and no longer have access to the Team account.
Please note:
- You can continue to use Sideline, but you will need to set up a new account and subscribe, as you no longer have access to the Team Sharing account.
- If you need to rejoin the team, you will need to be re-invited by the Team Admin.
- You will lose the communication history (calls, messages) linked to the Team Sharing account. This information will not be in your inbox should you decide to create a new account in the future.
If you need further assistance, please submit a request.
