Issue Symptoms
Receiving the error message “Browser Issue Detected” when attempting to log into Sideline Web.
Resolution
If you receive this error message, please try the troubleshooting steps below in order, until the error no longer appears.
Step 1: Hard refresh
Performing a hard refresh clears your browser's cache for a specific page and forces it to reload the most recent version.
To perform a hard refresh on your browser:
- On Chrome, Firefox, or Edge for Windows: Press Ctrl+F5 (if that doesn't work, try Shift+F5 or Ctrl+Shift+R.)
- On Chrome or Firefox for Mac: Press Shift+Command+R.
- On Safari for Mac: Press Command+Option+E to empty the cache, then click Reload in the toolbar to refresh the page.
Step 2: Open incognito mode
Incognito mode, also known as private browsing, allows you to use the internet without storing any of your history, cookies or other data.
If you are seeing the error message in regular mode, try accessing your account using incognito mode instead.
To open an incognito tab on your browser:
- On a Windows, Linux, or Chrome OS computer: Press Ctrl + Shift + n.
- On a Mac: Press Command ⌘ + Shift + n.
Step 3: Open a different browser
Logging in from a different browser helps to rule out any issue with browser-specific settings, cookies or extensions.
Step 4: Clear your browser’s cache and cookies.
If the above steps have not resolved the issue, then please clear your browser’s cache and cookies for Sideline Web. For full instructions on clearing the cache and cookies please see How to clear cache and cookies.
