Yes, you have the option to port out your Sideline number to another carrier. Sideline does not place restrictions on who we will release our numbers to when porting out.
With that being said, the carrier you are porting to may not accept your number. We advise you to check with the carrier of your choice before you begin the porting process to ensure they will accept your Sideline number.
Items to note:
- If you did not port your number into Sideline originally, you will need to pay the port-out fee to port your number out.
- If you initially ported your number in, you are not required to pay the port-out fee.
- Your Sideline number will remain active until it is successfully ported to the new carrier. You will be able to receive calls, and messages & use Sideline as normal until the port has been completed. (More info)
- You cannot (nor can Sideline Support) cancel the port-out request once it's begun.
- Cancellation requests must be made through your NEW Carrier.
After you have successfully ported your number out, you will then need to cancel your subscription through your App Store to avoid further charges (porting does not automatically cancel your subscription to Sideline).
