With the many benefits of Team Sharing, please note there are some restrictions to consider before signing up. Below is a list of what Team Sharing accounts are not compatible with.
FYI: A max of 5 team members can be added to one team. If you enabled Team Sharing before March 28, 2023 and have more than 5 members, you can keep your current members but cannot add more, as you're already over the limit.
Limitations with Team Sharing Accounts:
- A max of 5 team members can be added to one team (this includes the Admin).
- VoIP/WiFi Calling is not available.
- 'Forwarding all calls to voicemail' setting is not available.
- 'Call Announcement' feature ("press 1 to answer the call") cannot be disabled.
- Landline numbers cannot be invited to a Team account.
- Porting
- Porting in your number is not an option after switching to Team Sharing. (Your number must be ported in before you share it with your colleagues.)
- Porting out of Team Sharing is not allowed with active accounts. (The Admin must disband/close the team first)
- You can't invite users with an existing Sideline, TextFree, or Pinger account.
- They will receive an error message. Instructions on how to correct this issue can be found here
In addition to the above limitations & incompatibility with certain settings:
Non-Admins (ie, team members) cannot:
- Send invites
- Manage billing or subscription details
- Close the team
- Remove team members
