How do I change my Sideline phone number?

While Sideline numbers are designed to be long-term, you can change your Sideline phone number to a new one in the app if needed.

Please note:

• You can change your number in the Sideline app once every 24 hours. For example, if you change it at noon, you cannot change it again until noon the next day.
• You have 30 seconds to choose a new number before the session times out.
• You do not need to delete or cancel your account to change your number.
• After you change your number, calls and messages sent to your old Sideline number will not be received by your account. Sideline cannot forward calls from one Sideline number to another.

To change your Sideline phone number in the app:

1. Open the Sideline app and go to Settings.
2. Tap Account Info.
3. Tap your current Sideline number.
4. Tap Change Sideline Number.
5. Enter or search for a new number, then select the number you want.
6. Review the number and confirm the change.

(iOS users) How to search for a Sideline number by city/location: 

Follow steps 1-4 seen above, then:

1. Tap Search by City or Search by Area Code.
2. Enter your desired city or area code in the search field.
3. Choose a location from the matching results.
4. Review the list of available numbers and select the one you want.
5. Tap Choose This Number to confirm your selection.

6. Tip: If there are no numbers available in the location you searched, we will suggest nearby locations you can choose from.
