How to enable & disable notifications

Email notifications

The ability to send incoming Sideline text notifications to your email is not a feature available for Android accounts. 

Call & Text Notifications

To change your notifications settings:

1. Go to Sideline Settings.
2. Tap Get Help.
3. Tap Manage Permissions.
4. Tap Notifications.
5. Tap ON to enable notifications in Sideline.

Email notifications

iOS users can have their incoming Sideline text messages emailed to them. Here's how to enable email notifications to your registered email:

1. Sideline app Settings.
2. Under Texting, locate Email Notifications.
3. Tap to enable (green) or disable (gray).

Note: Emailed transcriptions or notifications for voicemails are not available (only texts). 

Call & Text Notifications

1. Sideline app Settings. 
2. Tap Support.
3. Tap Manage Permissions.
4. Tap Notifications.
5. Tap the Allow Notifications bar to enable notifications (green).

Please Note: Be sure that Allow Notifications is enabled, then determine your preferred notification settings (Lock screen, notification center, banners, etc.) See below for more information on the individual notifications and how they work in Sideline. 

• Show in Notification Center - Appears as a notification when you pull down from the top of your screen
• Sounds - receive an audible alert when your volume is on
• Badge App Icon - A red bubble on the app icon when outside of the app that alerts you of notification within Sideline
• Show on Lock Screen - receive notifications when your app is locked
